SEATTLE — Students from multiple Seattle high schools are planning a walkout over a newly announced lunch schedule taking effect over the coming weeks.
Seattle Public Schools announced that high schools will be moving from one lunch period to two. However, students argue this will hurt their participation in school clubs, and make it more difficult to get help from teachers.
Some schools are starting the new schedule on Monday. Every high school must make the switch by Oct. 6.
