SEATTLE — Seattle is implementing safety improvements along Rainier Avenue, one of the city’s most dangerous traffic corridors, using voter-approved funding to address concerns.
The new additions include streetlights, signals, marked crosswalks and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps. The crosswalk improvements are at two locations, including one at Rainier Avenue and South College Street. The design aims to make the hazardous street safer for pedestrians and drivers.
