Seattle Public Schools will return to full in-person learning this fall

Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Brent Jones announced the district’s plan for the next school year.

SEATTLE — Students in Seattle Public Schools (SPS) will return to full-time, in-person learning this fall.

Superintendent Brent Jones made the announcement during a news conference Thursday morning.

“The conditions are right, the pandemic is slowing and we have access to vaccinations,” said Jones. “We are creating the conditions for our children to come back to school safe.”

Jones believes in-person learning creates the best conditions for students but said there would continue to be a remote learning option for families.
