SEATTLE — Seattle Police Department union president Mike Solan announced he will not seek reelection once his term ends in February. He shared his decision in an episode of his police union podcast, Hold the Line with Mike Solan, on Dec. 31, 2025.
He called it the “honor of my career” to be the leader of the Seattle Police Officers Guild, a position he has held for six years. The union website says it represents over 1,300 officers.
