SEATTLE — Seattle police will continue making drug-related arrests despite confusion sparked by internal communications that prompted sharp criticism from the police union, city officials said.
The dispute began when Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes sent an email to staff that appeared to suggest a policy change related to open drug use.
