SEATTLE — A person was shot early Thursday morning in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, according to the Seattle Police Department.
At about 6:20 a.m., Seattle police and fire responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Maynard Avenue South.
Arriving officers reportedly found a man, 37, in an alleyway with a gunshot wound to his leg near Hing Hay Park. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said an altercation between the victim and a suspect occurred before the shooting. The suspect fled the scene before police
