Seattle neighbors demand action after fatal shooting at park

Seattle residents demand action as violence erupts near Virgil Flaim Park, prompting residents to fear for their safety.

SEATTLE — Neighbors who live near Virgil Flaim Park in Lake City are demanding that city leaders take action and permanently remove an encampment. 

The demands come after two men were shot and killed at the park Monday evening in broad daylight. Seattle police say the two men were part of the encampment and in their late 30s. 

When the gunfire erupted, it sent families and children running for cover.
