Seattle metro gas prices hit record-high $5.72 per gallon

Feeling pain at the pump? Gas prices are the highest they have ever been in Seattle.

SEATTLE — Gas prices hit a new record in several western Washington metro areas Tuesday as oil prices climbed and talks between the U.S. and Iran stalled.

The average price for a regular unleaded gallon of gas in Seattle, Bellevue and Everett on Tuesday was $5.72, which is an all-time high, according to AAA. This surpasses the previous record set in June 2022. The price is up 11 cents from a week ago and up 19 cents from a month ago.
