SEATTLE — A Seattle man convicted in two separate attacks on transgender people was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison.
Andre Karlow attacked a transgender woman in Seattle’s University District last March. A jury found Andre Karlow guilty in February of hate crime and second-degree assault in what prosecutors argued was an unprovoked assault fueled by hatred and preceded by targeted slurs.
Karlow was convicted of fourth-degree assault in an attack on a Sound Transit worker who is transgender in September 2024. However,
