Seattle firefighter, 55, honored by hundreds after unexpected death

SEATTLE — The Seattle Fire Department and the broader emergency services community are mourning the loss of Lt. Larry Doll, who died unexpectedly while off duty on Aug. 13 at age 55.

He is survived by his wife and son.

Doll faithfully served the city of Seattle for 19 years, beginning his career in 2006. He worked on Engines 11 and 31 before being promoted to lieutenant in 2023.
