SEATTLE — Seattle drivers spent significantly more time sitting in traffic last year, according to a new global transportation study that shows congestion climbing alongside a sharp decline in remote work in the region.
The 2024 Global Traffic Scorecard from Bellevue-based INRIX reports that the typical Seattle-area driver lost 63 hours to traffic congestion in 2024, a 9% increase from the previous year and enough to rank Seattle the 10th most congested in the United States.
