The Seattle City Council unanimously approved expanding traffic safety cameras to enhance public safety.
SEATTLE — The Seattle City Council on Tuesday approved legislation to expand the city’s traffic safety camera program, with revenue raised to be used for traffic safety and Vision Zero programs.
The council voted 8-0 to pass the legislation and now awaits Mayor Bruce Harrell’s signature. The legislation would go into effect 30 days after.
The legislation expands the use of automated traffic safety cameras, creates a new revenue fund and changes city code to align with changes made to state law that went into effect last year. The bill
