Seattle city attorney files civil lawsuits against three individuals over alleged graffiti vandalism

The lawsuits come as a result of Seattle’s graffiti ordinance that was passed in July, which subjects those “tagging” property to a civil penalty.

SEATTLE — The city filed its first lawsuits Tuesday under a new ordinance targeting graffiti vandals, seeking nearly $40,000 in damages from three taggers accused of defacing property throughout Seattle.
