Seattle awarded $11.2M to make repairs to West Seattle and Spokane Street bridges

The West Seattle High-Rise Bridge and the lower Spokane Street swing bridge are the new beneficiaries of an $11.2 million grant from the federal government, according to a news release from the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The money will be used to make significant structural repairs to both bridges.
