Friday was the busiest air travel day of 2026, but for TSA workers it marked their first full missed paycheck after missing a partial paycheck earlier in the month.
SEATAC, Wash. — Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) opened an on-site food pantry this month to support Transportation Security Administration employees working without pay during the second federal government shutdown in six months.
The pantry, located in the SEA Conference Center lobby on the mezzanine level above Security Checkpoint 3, accepts donations of nonperishable food, shelf-stable items, hygiene products, diapers and infant supplies from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Cash and gift cards are also
