SDOT will block cars from 20th Place South near Washington Middle School to enhance safety starting May 19.
SEATTLE — The street where a Seattle middle school student was struck and killed earlier this year will soon be blocked off to general traffic during designated periods.
The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) said Friday that barricades will be installed at South Weller Street and 20th Place South outside Washington Middle School starting May 19 with the goal of improving safety.
Twentieth Place South between Weller and South Jackson Street will be designated as School Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on school days.
