Seattle’s northbound I-5 faces full closure this weekend for infrastructure repairs, with heavy traffic expected from Friday night to Monday morning.
SEATTLE — Drivers in Seattle should prepare for heavy traffic this weekend as another full closure of northbound Interstate 5 is scheduled as part of the Washington State Department of Transportation’s “Revive I-5” project.
The highway will be shut down from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday between Interstate 90 and Northeast 45th Street, north of the Ship Canal Bridge. Crews will continue repair work on aging pavement, expansion joints and other infrastructure.
