SEATTLE — There is a new team in town, creating a lot of buzz in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.
Next week, Salmon Bay FC, the pre-professional women’s soccer team, is kicking off its first season.
“It means a lot,” said Elena Milam. “It’s everybody’s dream to be able to come back and play for their hometown.”
Milam is the goalkeeper for the new club based out of Ballard, a community she’s played for before when she was the goalie for Ballard High School.
