Rolling Stones’ drummer’s memory lives on beneath the streets of Belltown

The Rolling Stones played Lumen Field Wednesday night, in their first Seattle show since 2019.

SEATTLE — The Rolling Stones were back Wednesday for their first show in Seattle since 2019. 

They took the stage at Lumen Field just after 9 p.m., but sadly, this was the first Seattle show the Stones played without their original drummer, the late Charlie Watts, known as the beloved heartbeat of the band.

While Watts died three years ago, his memory lives on beneath the streets of Belltown.
