Reward offered after wine bottle robbery at Pioneer Square market leaves 1 in coma

Detectives say the suspect stole a glass wine bottle, then used it to attack two workers at a Pioneer Square store before running off.

SEATTLE — Seattle police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they say badly hurt two store employees during a violent robbery in Pioneer Square, leaving one of the victims in a coma.

The robbery happened March 26 at about 3:35 p.m. at Saveway Market in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Investigators said the man stole a glass wine bottle, then assaulted two employees with it.
