Rescuers work to save harbor seal shot in face

Wildlife rehabilitators are working to save a harbor seal found shot in the face at Hood Canal.

Wildlife rehabilitators are working to save a harbor seal from Hood Canal who was found shot in the face. 

Rescuers responded Thursday after reporters of an extremely underweight harbor seal that was wounded. 

During an intake exam on Friday, X-rays showed that the seal’s wounds were from a bullet. 

Rescuers say it’s too soon to know if the harbor seal will survive. 

She was rescued by Center Valley Animal Rescue and is being treated by Sealife Response, Rehabilitation and Research.
