Rescue teams searched for a person who disappeared underwater in the Duwamish River near Tukwila on Wednesday night.
TUKWILA, Wash. — Firefighters searched for over an hour for a person who went underwater in the Duwamish River Wednesday night.
Puget Sound Fire said the missing person has not been found.
The call for help came in just after 8:40 p.m. near the East Marginal Way Bridge in Tukwila. A witness reported seeing a person in the river yelling for help and struggling to stay above water.
The person in the river slipped underneath and the witness did not see them resurface,
