A man in Renton calls on the community to speak out after what he suspects was a racially motivated robbery.
RENTON, Wash. — An elderly Renton man is urging the community to speak up after he was attacked and robbed in his home in what he fears may have been a racially motivated crime.
Truc Nguyen, 76, was returning home from the bank on Aug. 8 when a man followed him into his garage. Nguyen said the attacker was only a few feet away when he confronted him.
“I think maybe I’m going to die,” Nguyen recalled of the moment.
