REDMOND, Wash — Cheers, confetti and community excitement marked a major milestone for transit riders as Sound Transit officially opened the Downtown Redmond Link Extension on Saturday.
The long-anticipated project adds more than three miles to the 2 Line, linking two new stations, Downtown Redmond and Marymoor Village, with Bellevue.
