‘Red Bridge Fire’ near Cle Elum likely human-caused, fire officials say

The fire quickly spread to approximately 60 acres about 7 miles east of Cle Elum.

CLE ELUM, Wash. — A wildfire about 7 miles east of Cle Elum has destroyed at least two structures and is threatening dozens more.

The “Red Bridge Fire” was about 50 acres 5 p.m. on Monday, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

Around 5:15 p.m. the Department of Natural Resources estimated 200 acres were burning and it was 0% contained. The estimated of the size of the fire was reduced to 60 acres after a fly-over.
