Beginning Wednesday, all travelers at U.S. airports will be required to carry a REAL ID-compliant license.
SEATTLE — At long last, REAL ID enforcement will begin at all U.S. airports beginning Wednesday, May 7.
The REAL ID requirement is not out of the blue for travelers, as there have been numerous postponements and delays for years. The REAL ID Act was signed into law in 2005 following a recommendation from the 9/11 Commission, and will now be enforced 20 years later.
