Longtime superfan Daniel Carroll, co-founder of “The Maple Grove,” discovered the missing items before Game 3 of the ALDS.
SEATTLE — The Mariners’ playoff run has turned bittersweet for a longtime fan, whose collection of rare memorabilia was stolen from a storage unit inside his Mercer Island condo building.
Daniel Carroll made the discovery on Oct. 6.
The first clue was the broken padlock and latch.
“It’s hard to describe, really. I knew I had a bunch of stuff down there but I didn’t know exactly what I had,” Carroll said. “Some of those are kind of art pieces at this point.”
