One of Seattle’s most notable contests outside of the race for mayor is the battle for a city-wide council seat, Position 8.Â
The incumbent, Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck, a Democrat, landed on the ballot after nabbing nearly 80% of the vote in the primaries. Challenger, Republican Rachael Savage, claimed 13%.
