PUYALLUP, Wash — Families in Puyallup are bracing for potential cuts to school staff and programs as the district weighs millions of dollars in reductions to address a budget shortfall.
The Puyallup School District is considering $15 million in budget cuts. The proposal includes eliminating jobs or reducing hours for up to 95 staff members. About 30 of those positions would be at the district office, while dozens of others are employees who work in schools.
