Proposal would increase King County’s minimum wage to $20 an hour

The proposed ordinance would also increase the minimum wage each year depending on the rate of inflation.

SEATTLE — The King County Council will consider a proposal Tuesday night to set a minimum wage of $20.29 an hour for the county.

The wage matches the city of Tukwila’s, which is currently the highest minimum wage in Washington state, and one of the highest in the country.
