A truck crash on Key Peninsula Highway disrupted power for thousands Sunday night, causing traffic delays and extensive damage.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A truck hit a power pole alongside the Key Peninsula highway Sunday night, knocking out power to over to thousands of customers.
Power was restored to customers around 8:30 p.m., with the Peninsula Light Company outage map showing just one customer without power.
The truck crashed into the transmission pole at 31st Avenue NW and Key Peninsula Highway before 10 p.m. on Sunday, causing extensive damage.
