Power restoration could take multiple days in some areas in western Washington

Power restoration is proving to be especially challenging in Snohomish County, which faced significant windstorm damage, alongside severe impacts from flooding.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Some people may be without power for multiple days after a destructive windstorm swept through the western Washington region. 

Nearly 50,000 Washingtonians will be on their second day without power, Thursday. Puget Sound Energy reports more than 35,000 customers in the dark. The Snohomish Public Utilities District has another 13,000 without power.
