Police shoot suspect who ‘attacked’ officers at Bellevue Transit Center

The King County Independent Force Investigation Team says police shot a suspect who “attacked” police on Friday afternoon, seriously injuring one officer.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A Bellevue Police Department officer shot a suspect who reportedly “attacked” an officer at the Bellevue Transit Center on Friday afternoon, according to the King County Independent Force Investigation Team (IFIT).

Police said officers responded to a call about a disturbance at the transit center just after noon. Investigators said the suspect “attacked” the officers when they contacted him. During the altercation, one officer was seriously injured. Police then shot the suspect.
