Police investigate deadly stabbing in downtown Seattle

A man was killed in the stabbing near Westlake.

SEATTLE — A man was fatally stabbed in downtown Seattle on Wednesday night, according to the Seattle Fire Department. 

Police responded to reports of a stabbing around 10 p.m. at Fourth Avenue and Pike Street near Westlake.

Firefighters attempted life-saving efforts, but the man, who is approximately 30 years old, died at the scene.

Police have not released any information about what led up to the stabbing.  

The Seattle Police Department is investigating.
