Police arrest 6 people at Portland ICE facility protest

Six people were arrested on misdemeanor charges during a protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in South Portland.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Six people were arrested on misdemeanor charges during a protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in South Portland Thursday night.

Portland police said they took five people into custody for charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with police. Two of those people also face riot charges.

A sixth person was arrested around 11:30 p.m. for disorderly conduct charges involving the use of amplified sound equipment, police said.

To date, Portland police have made 79 arrests at protests
