Pike Brewing to close flagship Pike Place Market taproom, restaurant

SEATTLE — Pike Brewing will close its longtime Pike Pub and Pike Fish Bar at Pike Place Market on Nov. 30, the company announced Wednesday.

CEO Matt Lincecum said the “traditional pub model” had become increasingly difficult to sustain and the closure was a necessary business decision. The taproom, a Market fixture since 1989, will offer discounted beers on its final day of service.

Pike Brewing will continue producing its beer lineup and will keep operating its location inside the Summit Seattle Convention Center.
