A house fire left one person hospitalized and destroyed a home.
FREDERICKSON, Wash. — One person was hospitalized and a home was destroyed in a house fire Tuesday night in Pierce County.
Fire crews were dispatched around 9:20 p.m. to a home in the 16400 block of 46th Avenue East in Frederickson. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames and heavy dark smoke pushing from under the eaves.
Crews worked to contain the fire, opening walls and ceilings to stop it from spreading. Officials said the origin of the fire was unclear because flames had already spread through multiple rooms of the house.
