The Coast Guard rescued three people from a fishing vessel that capsized near Westport.
WESTPORT, Wash. — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a person who went missing when their boat capsized near Westport on Friday.
The Coast Guard received a call at about 8:30 a.m. about a fishing vessel that was taking on water and flooding.
A boat crew from the Coast Guard’s Grays Harbor station rescued three people from the 68-foot commercial fishing vessel that capsized. However, one person was not rescued.
As of 10:30 a.m., the vessel had fully sunk to the bottom of the channel.
