Pedestrian dies in Kent crash

A 31-year-old Auburn man was hit and killed in the early morning hours of Dec. 27 when standing in the road, police say.

KENT, Wash. — A pedestrian was killed in Kent early Saturday morning when he was hit by a semi-truck while standing in the road, according to the Kent Police Department. 

Just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 27, Kent officers and Puget Sound Fire crews responded to the 11400 block of Southeast 208th Street for reports of a pedestrian who had been hit. 

Police determined a 31-year-old Auburn man was standing in the roadway when a semi-truck driver swerved to avoid him,
