Families filled a Skykomish school board meeting demanding action after the PE teacher was accused of raping a student.
SKYKOMISH, Wash. — Parents in Skykomish packed a school board meeting, demanding accountability from district leaders following child sex abuse allegations against a former school employee.
The emotional gathering marked the first opportunity for families to address the board after 62-year-old physical education teacher and athletic director Daniel Bubar was charged this month with raping a girl and fired from the district.
“Families are asking simple questions: How did this happen, and how do we know it won’t happen again?” one parent said.
