Overlake Medical Center plans to cut 55 jobs and close its Lake Hills urgent care clinic due to financial pressures.
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Overlake Medical Center and Clinics will cut 55 employees in November, part of a broader realignment as health care providers across Washington state contend with rising costs and reduced federal reimbursements.
The hospital system announced Tuesday that the positions will be eliminated effective Nov. 23. In addition, Overlake will leave open jobs unfilled and close its Lake Hills urgent care clinic.
