Over 2,800 pounds of Forward Farms ground beef recalled for E. coli contamination

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Sunday.

SEATTLE — About 2,855 pounds of ground beef are being recalled over possible E. coli contamination.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Sunday that Forward Farms grass-fed ground beef, produced by Mountain West Food Group LLC, is being recalled. The product was shipped to California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Pennsylvania and Washington.

The recall affects 16-ounce bags with a “use or freeze by” date of Jan. 13, 2026. The products also have the establishment number “2083” on the side of the packaging, according to the USDA.
