Olympic Pipeline ‘partially’ restarted after crews discover source of fuel leak

BP America confirmed the Olympic Pipeline is now partially restarted. A timeline for when repairs will be fully complete is forthcoming.

EVERETT, Wash. — The Olympic Pipeline has “partially” restarted after crews were able to identify the source of a fuel leak they’ve been searching for a week. 

The pipeline delivers jet fuel to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Though many airlines have been able to manage their fuel resources so as not to cause schedule disruptions, at least one major airline, Delta, reported that customers could face “schedule changes” to long-haul flights over Thanksgiving week, due to limited fuel availability.
