COUPEVILLE, Wash. — With the turn of a key, a 25-year-old ambulance comes back to life on Whidbey Island.
It served as a medic rig on the island for decades until it came time to retire. But old Unit 12 — its actual unit number — wasn’t quite ready for the junkyard. It had unfinished business with Seahawks fans known as “the 12s.”
Unit 12 is now known as the Fanbulance, spreading Seahawks pride wherever it goes for the past decade. Friday it brought Super Bowl hype to the kids
