If you’re headed to downtown Seattle this weekend, prepare for delays and detours.
SEATTLE — For the second time this summer, Interstate 5 north will completely shut down through downtown Seattle for the weekend.
Starting late Friday night and lasting through early Monday morning, I-5 will be closed from the I-90 interchange to Northeast 45th Street, on the other side of the Ship Canal Bridge.
The Ship Canal Bridge has been down to two lanes going northbound for the last month, but will completely reopen when the closure lifts on Aug. 18.
