Reports of a man not being able to breathe after being underwater first came in to authorities on Sunday night around 7:15 p.m.
LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — A 30-year-old man from North Carolina drowned over the weekend at Colchuck Lake near Leavenworth.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says reports of a man who was not breathing after being underwater for 5 minutes first came in around 7:16 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3.
The coordinates of the emergency messages led emergency and rescue crews to the west side of Colchuck Lake. A helicopter managed to transport the victim to the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery, where paramedics
