New passenger-only Southworth-Seattle fast ferry opens end of March; riders ride free in April

A new ferry route will set sail later this month connecting Southworth in Kitsap County to downtown Seattle, perhaps easing some commutes into the Emerald City.

Kitsap Transit announced Thursday that the new passenger-only Southworth fast ferry will launch on March 29. Sailing on the M/V Enetai, the estimated travel time between Southworth and Seattle is 26 minutes, but could be longer based on dock availability.
