AUBURN, Wash. — Dozens of childcare providers across Washington state are preparing for significant changes after a state agency directed them to reduce the number of children they serve, raising concerns among families who rely on their care.
At least 38 providers who currently have capacity waivers have been told they must cut back enrollment, a move that could displace families already facing limited child care options.
