SEATTLE — Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison introduced legislation Tuesday proposing new civil fines of $1,000 per violation to combat the city’s graffiti problem, which costs taxpayers approximately $6 million annually in cleanup efforts.
In Seattle, there were more than 28,000 reported incidents in 2024 alone.
