Multiple semi-truck collisions are blocking Blewett Pass amid an early-season heavy snowfall in the Cascades.
LIBERTY, Wash — Blewett Pass is closed with no estimated time to reopen after heavy snowfall in the Cascade Mountains over the weekend.
U.S. 97 over the pass is closed in both directions starting at milepost 164 due to multiple disabled semi trucks blocking the roadway, according to Washington State Patrol District 6 Public Information Officer Jeremy Weber.
“Time to get in our minds winter driving conditions,” Weber wrote on X. “Who would’ve thought halfway through October that Blewett Pass would look like this?”
